Not long after Lincolns passing in 2016, our wonderful friends began setting themselves the task of organising a Bootcamp and Dancing Stars Concert in memory of our beautiful Lincoln with the goal of raising funds for three charities which we felt helped us immensely during our 135 day stay at Lady Cilento Children's Hospital.

A massive amount of collaboration, effort and teamwork created an awe inspiring day and on the 25th June 2016, we managed to raise a total of $2,250 ($750 for each of our selected charities - The Scarlett May Foundation, Precious Wings and the Jake Garrett Foundation.)  This year, on Sunday 26th November, we are envisioning a Fitness Family Fun Day!

 

Although the primary goal and main focus of our Foundation is to raise much needed funds for the ECMO specialist team in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit of the Lady Cilento Hospital, with the monies raised from this particular event, we are hoping to begin our journey of creating a space...a memorial at Lady Cilento Hospital in memory of all babies and children that have passed.  The establishment of this memorial was and still is, one of the fundamental goals of Lincolns Legacy.

My hope and ultimate wish is for families to visit this memorial, if they wish, for strength, for hope, or alternatively, for peace.  This memorial would enable families that have suffered such a tremendous loss, to allow them to leave something behind in memory of their child who did exist but who are no longer with us here on Earth, whose last stop was at Lady Cilento Childrens Hospital.  No child should ever be forgotten, every life should be celebrated...no matter how short.
