Lincolns Legacy Appreciation Gala

When we were in the cardiac ward at Lady Cilento, I whispered to Lincoln that once we were home, we were going to have a huge event for his 1st birthday. I told him how amazing it would be and how much fun he would have. We always spoke to Lincoln about the future, about what we hoped for him, for our family...but sadly this wasn't meant to be.

A few months after Lincoln passed, I felt strongly that we should still celebrate his birthday, we should still celebrate Lincoln. I decided to host this Gala Event for Lincolns' 1st birthday but also to sincerely thank and pay tribute to all the people, all the wonderful, caring, kind, thoughtful people that have been with us on our difficult journey, that have supported us in our grief and are always willing to lend a helping hand.

Lincolns Legacy Appreciation Gala, in honour and in memory of Linky Lou, was a huge success. We could not have achieved such a fantastic result without the support of our family, friends and the very generous and kind community we live in.

A total of $7,000 was raised for the Oddi's Angels Foundation. We proudly presented this cheque at their 1st Annual Race Day which was held on the 18th November last year.

We wish to thank everyone for their massive efforts and support throughout the year and I hope to find the strength required to continue organising this important Gala. Fundraising for these unspoken, unknown charities is something we have become passionate about since our little Lincoln passed.

A total of $7,000 was raised for the Oddi's Angels Foundation. We proudly presented this cheque at their 1st Annual Race Day which was held on the 18th November last year.
