Having a child in ICU has to be one of the worst possible situations you can find yourself in.  If you are fortunate, you take your child home…but sadly many are not.  Being close by your child is crucial but if the duration of your stay is extensive, regrettably many families are forced to return to work.  It is for this reason that I have started a petition on change.org urging the government to revise the process for applying for and receiving financial assistance and initiate an immediate payment available to families who find themselves in this unbearable position. Please find time to sign this, the more signatures and stories I can obtain, the better my chances are. If I can manage to reach the right people and make Lincoln’s Legacy a reality, I am certain countless families will be so appreciative and rightfully be able to spend precious time with their much loved babies.
